Vs 7-10 Jesus, the only door to a saving relationship with God, gives His flock abundant eternal life. Vs 5, 8 Intimate experience with the good Shepherd, enables us to detect and reject false shepherds. Vs 11-15 Jesus, the good Shepherd, gave us eternal life when He chose to pay the penalty for our sins by dying in our place. Vs 16-18 Jesus demonstrated His love by laying down His life; He demonstrated His deity by rising from the dead.
