T: Hello.
M: Please introduce yourself.
T: Uh my name is Tine Koyama.
Uh I’m from America. I’m thirty six years old. And I have been living in Japan for about ten years. Uh let’s see, I came to Niigata about four years ago, and I had lived in Gunma-ken for five years before that.
M: Thank you.
M: How long have you been in Japan?
T: About ten years.
M: Ten years.
M: Uh. So what’s the reason you came to Japan?
T: Um let’s see, uh when I was a college student, uh, I met some Japanese friends. So they were exchange students at my school from a university in Tokyo. And I thought they were very interesting and different. Uh they look different from most people that I have ever met before. And uh, I think their body language was very different. The way they walk, the way they move their hands, the way they talk was very very different. And I was fascinated. So I thought, okay, it’s interesting so I wanna see what Japan looks like I wanna see every day life in Japan. So that’s why I wanted to come to Japan.
