Kennesaw Woman Dies After Crashing into Pole
A tragic accident in Kennesaw early Friday morning has claimed the life of a local woman. Cobb County Police report that 20-year-old Amy Wamweya was driving north on Barrett Parkway, near Stilesboro Road, just before 5 a.m. when she crossed a raised concrete median and crashed into a utility pole on the southbound side. Authorities pronounced Wamweya dead at the scene.
Investigators are currently looking into why Wamweya lost control of her vehicle and failed to maintain her lane. The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time, and the investigation is ongoing. If you have any information regarding this incident, please contact the Cobb County Police Department at 770-499-3987.
