Georgie Somerset is not only an Australian farmer and grazier but also a passionate advocate for the rural industry, with a particular focus on empowering women within the sector. In 2018, she was appointed General President of AgForce Queensland, a leading farming lobby group.

With a rich history of leadership roles, Georgie served as president of the Queensland Rural, Regional and Remote Women's Network from 2009 to 2014, and she was a founding vice-president of the organization in 1993. Her extensive experience and wealth of knowledge make her a formidable force in the agricultural community.

Today, we're diving into the importance of being a member of AgForce and how you can get involved. Georgie's involvement in the Regional, Rural and Remote Women's Network further highlights her commitment to fostering community engagement and empowerment.

Georgie is the current AgForce president and its been a busy few years with her at the helm.With her children showing keen interest in agriculture, Georgie is optimistic about the future of the industry and excited to see it flourish.
