What is authority? What is influence? Is Authority and influence the same thing?

My guest today is going to explain to the power of authority and how authority is the most valuable currency you can create for your business & brand.

As I was doing some research for this episode, on this idea of authority & influence, I came across this quote on medium.com that said “The essence of authority is that people willingly follow your lead. People choose to adhere to your words and advice. They want your wisdom.”

Reading that, I can definitely tell that authority is important to growing a business and a brand. In today’s society, there is a great need for true figures of authority — with an elevated perspective, a high attunement to providing value to people they lead.

In this episode I interview, Josh Elledge. Josh Elledge is U.S. Navy veteran who became a serial entrepreneur who builds the companies he needs most in the world.

In 2014, He launched UpMyInfluence to help entrepreneurs like himself attract the perfect audiences and grow their authority and influence.

However, while growing their better-than-PR agency, UpMyInfluence discovered that building 7-figure B2B Sales Systems (with zero paid advertising) is actually what what they do better than anyone else on the planet.
