Charles Ramsay Devlin (1858-1914): during his own lifetime, he was a man impossible to ignore, but today his accomplishments have fallen into the shadows. A champion to some, a big headache for others, Devlin was a firebrand, a politician, a fearless campaigner, a defender of Catholics across Canada, a friend to Quebecers, a bilingual and charismatic figure…and a man who did not limit his action and political involvement to Canada! Devlin's bilingualism was so perfect that he could argue passionately in both languages. As co-host and historian François Roy says, History is loaded with injustice, but François has made it his mission to try to remedy that by retrieving the memory of this interesting man who once represented the riding of Nicolet.
