A few years ago everyone was singing the praises the blockchain, how the secure electronic ledger was going to change forever food safety.

With the ability to track a single chicken from farm to supermarket shelf, massive food recalls – costing millions and millions of dollars – would become a thing of the past.

Forget about flying to Mars, blockchain was the future and each and every one of us in the meat/poultry industry was going to be part of it.

So where is it? Was it over-hyped, over-flashed, and over-promised, or is it still waiting in the wings for its debut?

In this episode of Meat Talk, host Velo Mitrovich will be joined by crypto currency and blockchain expert Oleg Giberstein of Coinrule.

Besides blockchain, we’ll be talking to Oleg about crypto currencies and whether they have a place in the meat/poultry industry.

If you have ever thought about blockchain or crypto currencies, this is the episode you need to be listening to, especially before you invest a single penny in either.

If you have questions not answered in this podcast, Oleg says feel free to contact him via Twitter: @Oleg Giberstein or the Coinrule website at: www.coinrule.io
