Under 1960- och 70-talet gick arbetsströmmen norrut, från Turkiet till Sverige och Tyskland. Idag bygger välutbildade turkar för en framtid - med jobb på hemmaplan. Flygplatsen i Istanbul har vuxit till en metropol på bara några år. Turkish Airways flyger till Nairobi, Bagdad, Beijing, Dehli och Texas. Vi följer 19-åriga Hazal Haznedaroglu, som tar studenten i Istanbul. Hon är en av hundratusentals unga turkar som nu tävlar om jobb och en plats på ett populärt universitet. Det är inte som i Sverige, kraven är mycket högre här, säger Hazal. Och så träffar vi en av Turkiets rikaste män, Ishak Alaton, som började på verkstadsgolvet i Motala.
