习近平上台后,许多评论指出中共从“党天下”变成了“习天下” ,和前任胡锦涛的领导风格大相径庭。法国汉学家白夏多年研究共产党强人领导的逻辑,他认为强人和一个顺从的政党是共产党有效执政的基因。毛泽东、邓小平、江泽民和现在的习近平就是这样的强人例子。白夏解释说,邓小平走强人路线是他看到戈尔巴乔夫式的改革造成苏共灭亡,而习近平则看到了薄熙来和汪洋”两条路线“较量对中共团结造成挑战。但是在强人主政走向极端后也将出现调整,比如胡耀邦和胡锦涛的时代。白夏预测,习近平新强人再现会把中国带入更高度的专制期,但后习近平时期,他相信中国会反省习近平的执政时期,回到集体领导。
