On this episode we have soon to be Dr. Tamia Potter talk to her expansive experience leading to becoming a neurosurgery resident. From working as a CNA late nights to going to school directly after and repeating for several years at FAMU. We learned the true essence of grit and why that grind allowed her to have 17 publications in medical school, continue to work as tutor, spending hours on end on the weekends to finish her research projects and tirelessly be one of the top students in her class. The motto is your work hard and you play hard. She also elaborates on experiences of discrimination and what we call macrogression and her words of encouragement for the young black women who wants to be a neurosurgeon and MORE! Put respect on her name!
