The Armenian question refers to a series of political and territorial disputes surrounding the Armenian people and their homeland. The question dates back to the late 19th century and has been marked by massacres, forced deportations, and territorial conflicts. At the heart of the issue is the desire of the Armenian people for self-determination and recognition of their cultural and historical identity. The most well-known event in the Armenian question is the Armenian Genocide, which took place during World War I and resulted in the deaths of an estimated 1.5 million Armenians. Despite international recognition of the genocide, Turkey denies its occurrence and the issue remains a point of contention between the two countries. The Armenian question continues to be a complex and emotionally charged issue with no clear resolution in sight.
Historian Dr. Gevork Nazarian PhD joins us live in the studio to discuss the details of the Armenian Question
