Book One - Chapter Five: We Have Cause to Be Uneasy - Chapter Five begins addressing the objections by some who were happy to listen to Lewis as long as they felt he was talking about something new, but quick to dismiss him when he brought up the subject of God. Lewis assured them he wasn't trying to trick them, and up to this point hadn't used the Bible or any church teaching at all. He had simply used the reality of life around us. He also discusses the idea of everyone wanting progress, but if we are on the wrong path to get there, contining down the wrong path is only leading us further away from where we want to go. We discuss these ideas and being so committed to an idea that no amount of evidence will convince you otherwise.
