Slipknot, without question, is one of our favorite bands. They were Brian’s first GA show in Ames and one of his best memories/live concerts. So in 2021 when Slipknot announced they were bringing Knotfest back to the heart of Iowa, of course we had to go. The lineup was insane. The venue, Indianola Balloon Grounds, was just outside of Des Moines. It was just perfect. But the endless lines turned this festival, that would have been the best show we ever saw, with some of the best performances we never saw, into hands down our worst show ever.
