In this episode Dominique Piotet, co-founder at Ukrainian Phoenix Fund, discussed information security in the war time in Ukraine with Dmytro Bilash, co-founder & CBDO Osavul, AI company which raised $1 million in 2023.

Osavul is a Ukrainian AI company focusing on information security, countering disinformation, and information environment assessment. Name Osavul corresponds to the military position in old Ukrainian cossack army. Osavul maintained order in the army.

Osavul was founded in March 2022 with the start of the russian full-scale invasion. Founding team found a gap in disinformation analysis and countering and started cooperating with government agencies as volunteers. The proposed AI solution became the basis for creating the first version of Osavul. Soon, Osavul software has been implemented and is used by the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and Ukrainian security and defense agencies.
