You may know Meister Cheese for their dairy products but they also pioneer in another area with Muscoda Protein Products which is a sister company to process their whey protein. Scott Meister is a 3rd generation owner of Meister Cheese, and owns the family business currently with his son Alex Meister (4th generation) and sister Vicki Thingvold. Muscoda Protein Products was started in 1981 by Stanley Meister. Aubrey Schlimgen finds out about how many different items whey, a byproduct of cheese, is being added to these days.
Sara Stelter is a farmer in Wautoma. She's also the current president of the Wisconsin Soybean Association, encouraging farmers to enter the WI Soybean Yield contest. Stelter says the WSA is offering a "Two-fer" - a WSA membership and an entry to the yield contest. Paid for by the WI Soybean Association.
John Heinberg, broker analyst with Total Farm Marketing in West Bend, joins Pam Jahnke to wrap up the week's trade activity. He says that the market may already be pricing in worries over Trump's possible return to office and a return to tariffs. He also advises Wisconsin farmers to get a floor under this crop regardless of potential yields or losses.
