Do you need some strategies to get past fear in order to achieve your goals? Grab my free guide Five Steps to Release Fear and Live Boldly.

Alison Young is an expert at reinvention. She went from being the Principal Flutist with the Boston Symphony to a syndicated radio host at American Public Media and then, after a cancer diagnosis, to being a backpacker in her early 50's and walking 12,000 miles on six continents!

In fact, she walked the entire length of New Zealand. Like Cheryl Strayed, author of Wild, Alison also hiked the Pacific Crest Trail. Doing this alone, in her 50's is hard enough but she also had the beginnings of debilitating arthritis.

Alison's story of the dangers along the trail as well as the exhiliration and life lessons is powerful. We also discussed:

- The importance of being curious rather than certain.

- How and why to quit strategically.

- Why she chose to hike New Zealand.

Alison has a podcast and leads some amazing retreats. You can learn more about her on her site Hike Like a Woman.

She also is hosting a virtual summit May 7th - 12th where you can learn from women experts in the outdoor industry, and get inspired to adventure. Register here.
