En nuestro país es común decir algún dicho o refrán para transmitir un mensaje, hacer referencia a algún comportamiento o motivar a alguna reflexión. Cuando algo no va bien se dice “salió de la china Hilaria” o cuando alguien es conflictivo o tramposo “hijo de la china Hilaria”. En ambos casos se refieren a Hilaria Macías, una joven del siglo XIX que se distinguía por su porte y belleza, trabajaba en un negocio de comida donde todo aquel que llegaba a degustar sus platillos quedaba encantado. Cierto día llegó un hombre de mal aspecto y con malas entrañas que no pudo conseguir a esa mujer.
