In this week’s interview you can hear Mr Jack Bellinger discuss how the ethos and culture of the regiment changed and evolved during his time in service. Jack joined the army in May 1947 and served throughout the Korean War before leaving the regiment.

Royal Dragoon Guards Oral History Project

This interview is part of a collection carried out by the Royal Dragoon Guards Oral History Project. The aim of the project was to record oral history interviews to provide a permanent record of the diverse experiences of members of the Regiment and its predecessors, the 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards and the 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards. Interviews include experiences in WW1, WW2, the Cold War, Palestine, Korea, Aden, Cyprus, Libya, Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan as well as stories of family life in the Army. This project was funded by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
