In this episode we are doing a follow up to our episode about value-based relocation. It has been long enough since we have both moved across the country (out of California) to check in and get real about the downsides to making a big move.

This is not meant to discourage anyone from making a big move if its been on your heart, but we hope this will help you plan as best you can, be prepared for less romantic aspects of a move, and take the time to prepare ahead of time before taking the leap. In this episode we'll discuss:
  • How we have been feeling about our moves
  • Costs associated with moving
  • Making friends in a new place (as a follow up, you could listen to this episode on making friends as an adult)
  • Uprooting families
  • Culture Shock
  • Organization and executing a move of this size
  • When reality doesn't match expectation
  • Biosolids program (it got it's very own line)
