Vanessa Salas Collins is a high school teacher in California who is also an advocate for a required financial literacy class in school. She breaks down what she teaches to her students in her financial education class and tells us why it's such a challenge to make personal finance required in school. She also dives into her personal story as a first-generation Latina growing up with a lot of shame about her culture and her financial situation.
