Wed Aug 31, 2011 Mister Ron's Basement No. 1989 Sometimes we discover great, almost totally forgotten humorists here in The Basement. We have found some of the funny stories of Prentice Mulford. Mulford is much more well known today as the founder of the New Thought Movement, but from the 1860s until 1891, he made his living writing wildly popular humorous stories. An early fun piece about England and tourists from the USA concerns ‘The Raw American,’ from 1873.
