Summer is quickly approaching, which means pools, beaches, and LOTS of water play. Did you know that drowning is the #1 cause of death for children ages 1—4 and the and the second leading cause of death for children ages 5-14? Despite these shocking statistics - there isn’t a lot of emphasis on water and swim safety for kids. Drowning is preventable - so why aren’t we talking about it more and requiring that all children take swim lessons and all parents be well versed in swim safety?

Tonight, we have the pleasure of sitting down with Alex Thompson who is a certified Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) instructor who recently opened up her own swim school in MA called ISR Metro West. What is ISR exactly? Tune in to today’s episode where we will learn all about ISR as well as chat with Alex about her top recommendations for swim safety to keep your kids safe both in the pools and at the beach this summer.

You can find Alex’s ISR Swim lessons at https://isrmetrowest.com/ or on her instagram @isr_metrowest
