Rikke is an experimental psycholinguist with a particular interest in acquiring and processing Australian Indigenous languages. Grace speaks with Maggie Walter, discussing Indigenous Data Sovereignty, and the negative consequences of AI on Indigenous people. Maggie is a Palawa woman, descending from the pairrebenne people of North Eastern Tasmania and a member of the Tasmanian Aboriginal Briggs family. She is a founding member of the Miaim nayri Wingara Australian Indigenous Data Sovereignty Collective and an active participant in national and international Indigenous Data Sovereignty networks.
