Margot Machol Bisnow spent 20 years in government, including as an FTC Commissioner and staff director of President Ronald Reagan’s Council of Economic Advisers.

In her post-government career, Margot has become an evangelist for entrepreneurism, serving as a sherpa for parents on how to raise their children to grow into successful business owners and achieve their dreams.

She is the author of Raising an Entrepreneur: How to Help Your Children Achieve Their Dreams - 99 Stories from Families Who Did, now in its second edition.

On this week’s podcast, Margot shares the lessons of families — many well-known — who followed the correct path for raising their children to succeed as entrepreneurs. The key is allowing children to pursue their passions, even if there is no obvious way to earn a living from them.

Hard work, the experience of failure, and the ability to adapt to change are, likewise, important entrepreneurial characteristics.

While Margot focuses on kids, teens, and young adults, her blueprint for success is ageless.

Monday Morning Radio is hosted by the father-son duo of Dean and Maxwell Rotbart.
