Mallorca’s Kiko Navarro is a well-known name in the Balearics, formerly holding down residencies at Pacha Ibiza, Pacha Mallorca and Space Ibiza. As a producer, he’s graced the likes of Local Talk, Yoruba Records, Exploited, Quantize Recordings and Large Records in recent years, blending classic house sounds with Afro and soulful flavours. His new album on BBE Everything Happens For A Reason is a stunner, and its release prompted us to reach out for him for a mix. The result is a hugely enjoyable romp through his infectious sounds, with a healthy dose of his new LP along the way.
*How would you describe your sound?*
A variety of colours, flavours and styles which I call HOUSE.
*What and who inspires you and influences your sound?*
I have got many influences since I started producing music. One is the beautiful life in Mallorca where I was born and hope to live for the rest of my days. If you want some names obviously my favourites producers have influenced me somehow, but the list is too long to write here!
*Can you tell us a little about this mix and what it means to you?*
I included some of my latest productions, future ones and also all-time favourite remixes and my next singles upcoming from my already released Everything Happens For A Reason album on BBE Music.
