Hey there, beachgoers! Time for your New York Surf Zone Forecast straight from the National Weather Service in New York! Today at Coney Island Beach and Manhattan Beach, we're looking at a moderate risk of rip currents with waves around 5 feet high. The UV index is very high, so don't forget your sunscreen as the temperature hits the lower 80s under mostly sunny skies.
For Juneteenth, the surf remains around 4 feet with a moderate rip current risk. Expect a beautiful day with temperatures in the mid-80s and a steady south wind at 10 to 15 mph. Tomorrow and Friday stay warm and mostly sunny with a chance of thunderstorms. On Saturday, grab your board for a mix of sun and a chance of showers.
Remember, wherever you're catching waves, always stay safe and swim near a lifeguard. If you get caught in a rip current, go with the flow and don't fight it! Swim parallel to the shore and signal for help if needed.
For more beach safety tips and UV index info, check out the link in the forecast. Enjoy the waves and sun, everyone! This has been a Quiet Please Studios audio creation with the help of AI. Please subscribe and never miss a swell! Thank you for listening.
