Hey there beachgoers! Ready to ride the waves and soak up the sun? Here's your surf forecast for New York, where fun meets the sun!
Starting off your Sunday, we have some high excitement coming in! A high risk of rip currents will keep things thrilling, with surf heights around 5 feet. Even Mother Nature wants to join the party, with thunderstorms rolling in later. The UV index will be very high, so don't forget that sunscreen! Temperatures will be in the mid-70s, just right for catching waves. By evening, expect a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs around 90, but it might feel like up to 100!
Moving to Monday, grab your board for another high rip current risk day with surf at 4 to 5 feet. Thunderstorms are possible, but mostly sunny skies will prevail. Temps in the mid-80s and a refreshing northwest wind at around 15 mph. Remember your suntan lotion!
Looking ahead to Tuesday, the sun will be shining brightly with highs in the lower 80s, perfect for that post-surf chill session. And on Wednesday, catch some waves under mostly sunny skies. There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms, but nothing can rain on our beach day parade! Highs in the mid-80s with a southwest wind blowing at around 15 mph.
Wrapping up the week, Thursday will bring partly sunny skies with a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 80s. Now that's what we call a rollercoaster of fun in the sun!
And remember surfers, if you hit the waves, stay safe and swim near a lifeguard. If you get caught in a rip current, just relax, float, and don't fight it! Help is always a yell or wave away.
