Getting Stuff Done. Episode 5 - L&D in 2023: flexibility, speed & relevancy
Manage episode 371793864 series 2997695
This is the fifth episode in a season of podcasts from 5app all about ‘Getting Stuff Done’. It’s great to hear from theorists about what we should be doing, but hearing from people who are actually rolling up their sleeves and Getting Stuff Done is far more valuable (we think!).
It’d be wrong to suggest the world of work now is the same as it was 20, 10, 5, or even 2 years ago. Technological change, along with the pandemic and a shift in how work gets done, has impacted how we learn as well.
We all understand digital fatigue, and time (and attention) has become the most precious commodity of all. As a result employees have a greater interest in self-serve learning and building additional skills, while L&D is required to create flexible, relevant content, and consider how it's delivered (since speed of delivery is more important than ever).
We went out to speak with some more experts in their fields about what they are doing to respond to these massive changes. In this episode we hear from Anwen Bottois, Gaenor Aitken, Dav Rihal, Helena Nacinovic, and Patrick Mullarkey about fitting the L&D needs of their organisations in 2023 and beyond.
