Carisha Davis shares her journey from choosing teaching as a career to transitioning to teaching art and eventually starting her own art business. She initially pursued a career in law but found her passion in coaching and teaching. Carisha's love for sports and coaching led her to become an English teacher, but she always had a passion for art. After years of teaching, she decided to pursue her love for art and started her own business, initially focusing on home decor. Despite financial challenges and doubts from others, Carisha believed in her business and canceled out the noise. Carisha Davis shares her journey of overcoming fear and pursuing her passion for art. She started by teaching art to children and realized she needed to practice what she preached. Taking a chance, she participated in an art show in Dallas and sold out most of her artwork. This success led to opportunities with luxury retailers like West Elm and Nordstrom. Carisha also expanded her reach by exhibiting her art in Chicago. She rebranded her business in 2021 to focus solely on her art. As she approaches 40, Carisha is excited for the future and believes that age should not limit one's dreams.
