US markets snapped a five session losing streak, led by some solid gains in the technology sector - Dow up +201-points or +0.79% (after erasing an earlier -240-point decline) despite Boeing Co falling -5.3% following a crash on Sunday (10 March) that involved one of the companies 737 MAX 8 jets operated by Ethiopian Airlines . Boeing's decline alone shaved -150-points from the Dow. However, Apple Inc rose +3.47% after Bank of America Merrill Lynch upgraded the stock to buy from neutral and lifted their price target to US$210 per share from US$180 per share previously. The broader S&P500 +1.47%, NASDAQ +2.02%. Facebook Inc rose +1.46% after Nomura Instinet upgraded the social media giant and raised their target price to US$215 per share from US$172. In merger and acquisition (M&A) news, Nvidia Corp rose +6.97% after announcing it is acquiring Mellanox Technologies (up +7.8%) for US$6.8B.
