Cabinet ministers are expected to decide today whether to significantly boost Pharmac's funding. RNZ understands ministers will canvass a range of proposals and figures, with at least one of those options being an investment of hundreds of millions of dollars into the drug-buying agency. This follows a backlash over the government's failure to honour National's pre-election promise to fund 13 specific cancer drugs in the Budget.
