Everything needs to have a due date, no matter what it is. In my personal system, everything needs to have a due date. This helps to create a sense of urgency and helps you to stay on track for those tasks, similar to work assignments. - Rasean Hyligar Have you heard the myths about what to do when motivation dies?Myth #1: Just push through it. Myth #2: Wait for inspiration to strike. Myth #3: You're just lazy. But the truth is...if you're feeling frustrated and stuck in a cycle of procrastination, then you are not alone! Perhaps you've been trying to force yourself to stay motivated through sheer willpower, only to find yourself feeling depleted and demotivated. Instead of seeing progress and accomplishments, you may be experiencing a lack of motivation and a sense of failure. It's time to reassess your approach and discover new strategies to reignite your motivation and productivity. Value Nuggets: Utilize Trello board for daily to-dos and set deadlines for tasks in different columns such as due today, due tomorrow, due by end of week, and due by end of month. Implement a reward system or consequence system to motivate action, such as treating oneself to a snack for completing a task or imposing a financial consequence for not completing a task. Visualize the outcome of completing tasks, such as imagining the benefits of finding an apartment when going apartment hunting. Use a planner or to-do list to prioritize tasks and experience the satisfaction of crossing off completed tasks. Seek external help or assistance for overwhelming tasks, whether it's from an accountability partner or from individuals with relevant expertise. Resources Want the show notes and insights?
