THE POPE’S EXORCIST gives the Vatican’s chief exorcist from 1992 to 2016 the Hollywood treatment. At 63, Father Gabriele Amorth has only been the apprentice of the Vatican’s chief exorcist for a year, since 1986. Although Father Amorth won’t take that position himself until 1992, he’s proven himself to be a wise, capable defender of the Faith against Satan’s minions.
