Aokigahara Forest has long captivated the artistic mind, leaving an indelible mark on the imagination. In ancient times, it was believed to be the dwelling of yūrei, ethereal spirits from Japanese folklore. Presently, it serves as the final resting place for an alarming number of individuals, with up to 100 suicides occurring within its depths each year.
Nestled at the base of Mount Fuji, the towering pinnacle of Japan, lies Aokigahara, an expansive forest spanning 30 square kilometers. Once referred to as the Sea of Trees, this enigmatic woodland has acquired a new and somber moniker in recent years: Suicide Forest.
