“Should producers start with their drum loops first, or melodies first, when making a beat”.
My answer for you is TRY BOTH WAYS..
It will allow you to become an extremely versatile music producer, who is able to adapt to ANY SITUATION they are thrown into.
In addition to making drum loops, or programming melodies, beatmakers should definitely know how to sample as well.
