Why should you care about listening and the things that affect it? Why this whole discussion? If listening were black and why then no, there would be no need. But as it is, listening is complex and has many variables. Our ears are not buckets that we cover and uncover to let things in or keep things out. There is much more to it than that and musicalistening seeks to understand what those things are, the things that change our listening, change are playing and make or break us as musicians.
