This podcast is part of My African Aesthetic; a platform thatcenters research on African Aesthetics, African Design Philosophy, and African Placemaking inAfrican and African diaspora communities.
Our goal is to contribute to the body/canon ofknowledge on African aesthetics, African design philosophy and African place making throughresearch, documentation and education. By interrogating ways and levels of engagement inplacemaking; we intend to bring to attention to the central and important roles Africansthemselves have and have had in creating sustainable neighborhoods and communities. Weencourage dialogue and collaboration to ensure an inclusive, human centered and authenticshared learning platform.
We chose the podcast format (thoughtput into audio) as our key interrogation tool as it resonates with the African way of knowledgetransfer; an unfiltered, educative, raw and inclusive way of storytelling that is easily accessible.
