Reddit Scams My Amazon Guy
What it's like to run a company.
You check on employees who sometimes no show with no notice
You set a standard that behavior is not acceptable
And they immediately quit
This is a real exchange with an employee today
The whole situation is bizarre
Without a computer you can't work, I get it
But you can't ghost your employer a few days into the job and expect things to work out
I didn't even fire them for no-showing once
I just said "don't do it again" to set a standard
I think I was being generous - to no show no comm a few days into a job is probably an employers most confident firing ever
I will never know what truly was going on - what we see here is the scratch of the surface
Maybe they had a 2nd job lined up and we were the backup date
Edit: I called this person several times, with no answer. Thus the Slack msg waiting for him to respond and cutting to the chase.
