My picking beans from my garden the past few weeks and sharing pictures of canning on Twitter has sparked a conversation about the foods we like to eat, Appalachian comfort foods if you will. Rod's not with us this week, but you can join Steve and Gena as they talk about those staples of Appalachian fine cuisine, like soup beans, chow chow, ramps, paw paws and more. And we didn't forget to bring the pepperoni rolls, either! WE also talk about how Appalachian foods are starting to make it on the menus of fine restaurants as the new "in" thing.

Let us know your favorites and what memories they bring up for you in the comments below, or you can tweet them to us @myappalachia!
