Janae D. Johnson is a proud two-time alumna of George Mason University; having obtained a B.S. in Psychology and M.A.I.S. in Higher Education; and has completed multiple certificates from the University of South Florida.
Since 2011, Janae has worked at Mason and is the Associate Director of Student Employment and Enrichment within the Office of University Branding. In 2020, she founded JanaeDanielle Consulting & Design, LLC to help clients identify and achieve their desired business and event outcomes.
Within the community, she is a student organization advisor, President of the GMU Black Alumni Chapter, and proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and Alfred Street Baptist Church. Most recently, Janae was honored as a Northern Virginia 40 Under 40 by The Leadership Center and Leadership Fairfax.
Originally from Petersburg, Virginia, Janae loves spending time with family and friends, reading, and travelling any place warm. She lives by her family motto: “If I can help someone along the way then my living will not be in vain”.
