Would you miss the birth of your child to attend an ‘important’ client meeting? How many personal sacrifices are you willing to make to become a ‘successful’ business owner?

This episode was a therapy session for me, with a man who has spent many years in darkest of places.

Meet Dhiren Harchandani, a serial entrepreneur with over two decades of successfully building, scaling and exited multiple ventures in five different industries.

But his journey wasn't without sacrifices. He made decisions that cost him dearly, and sent him spiraling to rock bottom, where he was trapped for several years.

A pivotal moment came when he discovered the power of essentialism, realizing that true transformation begins from within (he calls it the “inner game”).

His new life had begun, and he wanted to share blueprint of sustainable transformation with other entrepreneurs.

He has now coached and mentored entrepreneurs whose businesses have a combined revenue of over $2.3 billion under the SuperHuman Coaching brand, and has become an eternal student of transformation, leadership, and mindset.

And when he’s not helping businesses be more creative and productive, he’s training for ultra-running races, competing in Ironman races, and climbing mountains.

We climbed a few mountains in this conversation, here are some highlights from my interview with Dhiren:

👨‍👩‍👦 Realities of growing up in an entrepreneurial family

🧔‍♂️ Dhiren's exposure to the innovator's dilemma and how small startups innovate rapidly

📈 Important lessons from the best traders in the world

😔 Shutting down a failing business

💸 Why raising funds can become a liability

🧑‍🏫 Having 4 coaches and 2 mentors simultaneously

🧠 How to achieve maximum focus in a distracted world

🛑 How to set circuit breakers in risky ventures

Splitting time between multiple businesses and handling operational fires

💼 The switch approach to solving business problems

💪 Emotional resilience in zero to one business

Knowing and having clarity with your “Why”

…and much more.

As always, I think you’ll find a ton of inspiration here, and I hope that you get to listen and re-listen to this episode just when you need it the most!
