Knots of Love was founded in 2007 with a simple mission to provide soft, stylish, handmade caps to people fighting cancer -- 100% free of charge.

10 years later, Christine Fabiani and her amazingly dedicated and compassionate army of makers/knitters/crocheters/volunteers power this 501c3 charity and have made and shipped over 350,000 caps FOR FREE to people in need of some love and warmth. Also, Knots of Love is now shipping NICU blankets to families with newborns in incubators, also for free, and has delivered over 20,000 blankets to date. Click here to see a map of the 500+ hospitals and treatment centers that receive shipments free chemo caps on a regular basis.

Side note: I am an advisor to Knots of Love - and Christine is my mother, so this episode is especially dear to me.

I want to thank everyone who has stitched and knotted each cap & blanket over the years - those who've helped pack boxes - ship and move boxes house-to-UPS-truck - plan events - host events - deliver caps - spread the word - donate money -write grants - organize ops - and otherwise support Knots of Love to make it the prolific and impactful charity it is today.

A big shout out to my brother Ian and father Rob who helped kickstart this mission and operation from a bedroom in our family home in 2007.

I am dedicating this episode to Kris Sirca - one of our very own team members who was recently taken, after a long battle, by cancer - Kris, may your amazingly light and bright spirit bring joy to those throughout the universe - your laugh will resonate for eternity and you will always remain an inspiration and role model, to me, for how to live a joyous life all the way to the very end.

Love you all!
