Within barely the space of a week, Aston Villa go from 100% to unbeaten to winless, despite improving their overall footballing style. Once again, last minute goals determine their results. While it's been three draws in a row, help is at hand, with two new recruits in Yannick Bolasie and Anwar El Ghazi, who hopefully will bring more cutting edge to the team to aid its the promotion goal.

My Old Man Said editor and host David Michael is joined by both Dan Rodgers and Chris Budd to discuss the ever expanding Villa-verse, as Villa make hard-work of a relatively favourable early fixture list.

There's the trials and tribulations of failing to beat a 10-men Ipswich and almost losing against Brentford, after bossing the Bees for most of the game, but only rescuing the game in the dying seconds. The reverse to what they experience days later against Reading at Villa Park.

There's no words wasted on the Burton cup exit though, we'll let Steve Bruce tackle that.

While we try to determine if it's glass half empty or full time for Villa, there's the usual fun and frolics, headlined by the return of Twitter with Tony.
