Margaret McPherson is the author of Tracking the Caribou Queen. The memoir is based on her recollection of her experience as a settler girl in the northwest territories. There is much to unpack from her memoir. A fantastic writer, you can feel, sense, and see through her writing. All your senses come alive. Aside from that, her report offers windows into the life of a young settler girl in Yellow Knife, growing up trying to understand racism, otherness, and belonging.
