The Vigil Run is an annual charity run organised by NATO’s southern Combined Air Operations Centre in Torrejón, Spain. It pays tribute to the fallen and veterans of all NATO Allies. National detachments run in formation, passing a baton to the next nation. This year, funds raised will be donated to a military charity for children who have lost a parent serving with the Spanish Air Force. This shows solidarity among Allies and recognises the sacrifice made for a safe and secure Alliance. Participating countries include Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States. Apart from national teams, the Torrejón Air Base police team ran with their dogs. Includes footage of the run, interviews with participants and with the Commander of NATO’s southern Combined Air Operations Centre at Torrejón, Spain.
