Den norske jazzmusikeren Jon Christensen (f. 1943) gikk bort tidligere i år, og etterlater seg en betydelig kunstnerisk arv og særegen rytmisk filosofi. I år er det også 50 år siden utgivelsen «Afric Pepperbird» (ECM) som for alvor markerte starten på Norges betydelige posisjon i internasjonal jazz, og Christensen sammen med Terje Rypdal, Jan Garbarek og Arild Andersen ble til De Fire Store i norsk jazz. I dette lunsjforedraget forteller Audun Vinger om Christensens unike aura og beat.
