Some things are just impossible. Or, they are just flat out inconceivable. For example, having a baby without having intercourse, is impossible. It’s inconceivable. Yet, that is exactly how Jesus Christ came into this world – born of a virgin. Look what the prophet Isaiah specifically prophesied about the coming Messiah hundreds of years before his birth: “All right then, the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (Which means ‘God is with us’).” Isaiah 7:14 (NLT) Inconceivable! Jesus being born of virgin has been something that many a people simple find implausible. They say it is “inconceivable” for a virgin to “conceive”. And many people have walked away from the Christian faith because of this claim that Jesus was born of a virgin. Yet, it is essential to the Christian faith. For the last two weeks, we have unwrapped the true meaning of Christmas from the perspective of King Herod and the Magi. This week we are going to unwrap Christmas from the perspective of a simple teenage girl who lives in a despised village, the one who gave birth to the savior of the world. Her name is Mary. This is an inconceivable story! Join us this week as we continue to unwrap the true meaning of Christmas. All are welcome!
