She is currently the President and CEO of Baltimore Community Lending (BCL), a mission-based lender and CDFI certified by the U.S. Department of Treasury. Through her work at BCL, Watchen Bruce has been dedicated to empowering small business owners and promoting financial inclusion for all, including offering valuable financial services to entrepreneurs in the Nehemiah E-Community.

Her extensive development finance experience has made her an invaluable asset to various projects funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Liberia. Additionally, Watchen Bruce is deeply involved in her local community, serving on various boards and advisory committees.
