It’s our sixth season finale, with Opening Day just two weeks away, and we’ve got a great one for you. In our first segment, Yankees Magazine editors Alfred Santasiere III and Jon Schwartz welcome Yankees senior vice president Tony Bruno into the podcast studio, where they discuss Al’s feature on the 50th anniversary of George Steinbrenner’s purchase of the New York Yankees. Bruno tells stories that he picked up from years around The Boss, and the ways that Steinbrenner could be a demanding boss, but also incredibly loyal and compassionate. Then, in our second segment, Jon chats with executive editor Nathan Maciborski about the Anthony Rizzo feature that graces the cover of our spring issue.

Note: This is the final episode of this version of the Yankees Magazine Podcast. Starting with our next episode, the feed will be rebranded as the NEW YORK YANKEES OFFICIAL PODCAST. If you’re already a subscriber, you don’t have to do anything — you will be transferred to the new feed automatically.

The NEW YORK YANKEES OFFICIAL PODCAST, which will feature exclusive interviews with your favorite Yankees, will launch on Opening Day
