If you say "religion isn't good", I wouldn't disagree with you. In fact, if you read the gospels… The biography of Jesus, you'll see how critical He was of religious institutions of the time. Nowadays, people are more apt to define themselves as "not religious but spiritual" It's exciting that there is an openness to "spiritual things" these days, but when you dig just a little deeper often the person will express a belief system - if you can even call it that - which resembles a hodgepodge of various religious tenets and loose "spiritual" practices... maybe even horoscopes, manifesting or the power of positive thinking. The truth is Jesus draws some lines in the sand. The gospel asks us to believe and follow certain things while rejecting others. Sounds very "intolerant" on its surface. Very "un-Canadian". So with all the "options" available, in the most culturally and religiously diverse area in the world, you may have the question... So, what's the difference?
